Rugby is about 7.5 miles from me. Lutterworth is a reasonable distance, has anyone played there?

That makes sense as I looked at the course layout at Rugby gc online and that looked like greens and tees are close to each other. That puts me off to be honest.

And how would clubs enforce any changes for a club comp? I don’t see any checks being done? I mean has anyone outside of pro golf ever had clubs checked for legality.

The guy who was part of the assessment team said that out of all the courses they have done in most cases the course ratings would change to being lower than they were.

We had a few stroke indexes changed when our course was assessed. The competition scores over the years show exactly which holes are the easiest or hardest. But then they need to balance the front 9 and the back 9 out so it becomes quite complicated. Players will always disagree on indexes...

I actually met one of the assessors from Derbyshire County golf who did our course and he said the course rating would change.
