We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
Probably not to be honest like most of our ex players have done, anyway like my original point. Golf is better than Football and deserves more credit! aha.
Disagree with that, he had offers to go elsewhere but stuck at Leeds because he wants to see us return to the top (eventually)! If he was in it entirely for the money he certainly wouldn't have signed for 4 years.
Haha I'm not saying every club isn't passionate, Leeds certainly are. Good to see Ross McCormack sign a new 4 year deal yesterday because he wants to be at Leeds, very refreshing to see. Just seem to think the Premiership clubs don't have as much anymore, some of them have a new squad every year...
Rory would because of his Nike deal, I highly doubt Rickie would have enough already to last a lifetime? All I'm saying is Golfers have more passion for their sport than Footballers do. The only teams that win things now are ones that have been invested in by some multi billionaire who can buy...
No of course not, just once you've made it pro you're sorted in football. Even if you sit on the bench you'll get your wage! I just think Football has lost it's way, not half as much passion in it anymore in my eyes. That's all!

Shamefully that's true. But Football has lost its way now. All about money, the Premiership (supposedly the most exciting league in the world) is the same 3 horse race every year. And 'respect' went out the window in Football a long long time ago.
Yeah I guess, just annoys me. I believe it...
I believe my club was formed in 1938.
It's a hard testing public course on the South Downs. The 6th hole, which is SI 1 and a big dogleg, has a bomb crater from WW2. Huge thing and you have to play around it which actually forms the dogleg. It's quite a deep crater so it must have been a pretty...
Like the title of this thread says,
Why is Golf still such an under credited/under rated sport? In my opinion Golf beats any other sport by a mile. The sense of achievement after a good hard round, the social side of it, the mental side of it? Surely it's the toughest game?
Just an example...
