my lad played in a tournament recently and his playing partner (11yrs old) had a US kids shaft attached to an adult sized 460cc head
has anyone else done anything like this? if so, is it straightforward?
i see that entry for the above prestigious competition is open to U16 players with a handicap of 4.4 or better
as a father of young golfers, I am curious to know how a player gets so low, so young
is it a matter of playing as often as possible, and occasionally seeing a golf coach? or...

I believe that my game would benefit from having my driver fitted properly.
Does anyone know of a decent place that I could get it fitted? i.e advise correct length of shaft, regular/flex/stiff, correct loft degree etc
Bought it from AG Trafford but they didn't really fit it.
I must be mistaken somehow. however my go-to club at around the 150yd marker is a 7
the last hole at my place is a 129yd par 3 which is at the very maximum an 8 for me
thats not the norm sadly, more like 140 on a regular basis.
occasionally I catch it just right and it goes further, however not as often as I would like
reading some of the threads on here, it seems that there are some very good amateur golfers about - i'm talking + handicaps.

get an official handicap, then lower it to +18 so I can play on the Trilby Tour (with wife as caddy)
I have shot +26 this year, incidentally the only time I have ever broken 100. Lowest before that was +38, 2 weeks earlier so not bad.
