    Seve Trophy

If you read the Sunday Telegraph today it sounds like a complete waste of time to me. There's nobody watching - 400 max and some groups as little as 6 people!! What's the point in that. There's more watch us tee off on a Saturday afternoon.

Space in the bag........what would fit in nicely?

I've just bought a couple of Cobra Baffler Hybrids 20 & 23 degrees of a mate and I can honestly say they are the easiest clubs in the bag to hit.

Ian Poulter - poor role model

Watched him a lot at the Open and this weeks British Masters - I think his golf gear is great but he's a plonker on the course, always throwing tantrums - pity really.

It's not me that needs to play faster - it's the others!!

    Ideal number of holes?

Well since I've read the book and played the course - Shiskine Golf & Tennis Club on the Isle of Arran - I most definitely agree with Andrew Greig's view that 12 holes is the ideal number of holes for a round of golf. Shiskine is a quirky little course but full of great suprises and the...

What games do we play to add spice to our friendly fourballs on a Sunday morning? My personal favorite is WWW&HS - points awarded on each hole - 1 pt for longest drive on the fairway, 1 pt for 1st ball on the green, 1 pt for 1st ball in the hole and 2 pts deducted for a three putt (which...

New Golf club - Anyone played these?

Played Vicars Cross GC last year, day before the open at Hoylake - it's a very good layout and was in superb condition when we played it. It has some very good holes and had a friendly clubhouse atmosphere.

Touchy subject - but is cheating at golf on the increase?

Never heard of that one before - just looked it up 'Portuguese Caddy' Each player is allowed to move the ball without penalty by kicking it. Specify a number of Portuguese Caddies allowed per person per round.

Touchy subject - but is cheating at golf on the increase?

There's one at our's who's been caught and warned but apparently he's still at it. He's being watched - it's a pity really cos otherwise he's a nice guy.

Touchy subject - but is cheating at golf on the increase?

In general, I believe most golfers would rather be told if they are inadvertantly breaking a rule. My problem is more about people who are cheating by preferring there lie in the rough, march after it as quick as possible and give it the 'leather wedge' treatment!

Touchy subject - but is cheating at golf on the increase?

Are the 'leather wedge brigade' on the increase? Do you have your suspicions about fellow members? How come when we hit it in the rough we get a bad lie, yet 'you know who' can get his hybrid to it every time, or are all of us just unlucky when dealing with the rough as it is this year? And...
