Just relax and enjoy it. You both want to enjoy the round, after all.
Friendly advice though. I dont believe you should be making up your own rules at this stage, or indeed any stage of your playing career. This sets bad precedents which may be difficult to shake off later when you start playing...
Best for me would be Banff Springs.
The setting is spectacular.
There are two plaques on the course. If I remember correctly, one says best par 3 in Canada, and the other says best par 4 in the world. I wouldn't argue.
Best in UK for me would be Delamere Forest, with honourable mentions for...
Unlikely to hear any more full 2025 albums now, so here is my top 10, in roughly ascending order:
10. Mark William Lewis by Mark William Lewis
9. House Of All Souls by House Of All
8. Moisturiser by Wet Leg
7. More by Pulp
6. The Awful Truth by Nightingales

Its a horrible MLR, and it would be a black day indeed if this made it to the Rules proper.
It is a basic tenet of the game to verify your card. Punching some figures into a mobile phone does not verify anything.
DQ is a suitable penalty, and always has been. Whenever a pro is hit with this...
No.
North Wales
Qualifiers close 2nd week in October and reopen last week in March, weather permitting.
Preferred lies entire GA, rake and place in bunkers, course shortened too much, mudballs a-plenty, waterlogged bunkers.
Anyone wanting to submit a qualifying card under these conditions is...
It's obvious if it is editable, but I'm not sure it is. When I built the shortened courses some years ago, they were based on our 18 hole yellow WHS course, so the parameters were imported. Yes, you could build completely new courses with made up parameters (can you even build a 10 or 15 hole...
I think my request for aid may have been lost in translation. I will try explaining it from a different angle.
Each winter we play a shortened course, either 10 or 15 holes, and the course is not deemed suitable for qualifying cards. (Preferred lies entire GA, rake and place in bunkers etc.)...
We are using the new cards. They were configured using the rationalised courses that were built on CV1. The stroke indexes are all wrong though, as the course used for our comps is still the 18 hole course. If we are given the choice to create a SI rationalised course, surely we can use this...
Yes. Our course is not suitable for handicap qualifiers in the winter, and courses have been created on CV1 with rationalised indexes, so surely our secretary should use these.
This is a post from last winter. Out of season we run 10 and 15 hole comps, and have printed cards with rationalised Stroke Indexes to suit. Last year we were receiving incorrect allowances. We finally figured out this was because of the introduction of CR-Par last year. (see posts #1962 to...
This season I did not win any weekend comps. A couple of midweek stablefords.
What I did win, though, was the Seniors Singles Knockout.
This completes the full set for me of MatchPlay titles at our club. Singles, Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Senior Singles and Senior Pairs.
Probably unique at our club.
What was your HI at the start of the year 9.3
What is it now 5.7
What was the highest and lowest during the season 10.6 and 5.7
And how many Q rounds have you played 32
