Its never an accusation I would fire at anyone, I've only come across one genuine cheat (with regards to handicap) in all the 25 or so years that I've been playing and people knew for a fact that he was at it, so it wasn't even an accusation.
People's handicaps fluctuate wildly at times, I...
I see some major issues. Namely weather not being a factor. My course has wildly varying CSS based on weather conditions. I've mentioned elsewhere that a 77 in a howling gale at my place is tougher to shoot than 74 in a flat calm. Also what if the course is set up tough for an event, say club...
I couldn't agree more. I could go for a custom fit and swing the club 20 different ways. On the course, if I want to hit it low or high, draw or fade, held into the wind or let the wind take it, I'll swing the club differently and approach the ball differently
Get down to 5 and be 5 at the end of the season.
Get to a new exact low of anything lower than 4.9
Qualify for the Scratch section of one of the three 4-day opens that I play annually.
Shoot a gross level par round.
I'm currently messing about with my bag at the moment too. Have driver, 3w, 2-sw and a 52 as well. Options are a 1i and a 60. Thinking about taking the 3w out and putting the 1i in but not sure there is need for the 1 and 2 i
I played very little between the ages of 17 and 22 due to a combination of going to Uni in Glasgow, having a shoulder reconstruction and going backpacking for 6 months. I think my handicap was about 8 when I stopped and when I re-joined I was given 11 and even went up to 12 for a time. During...

In handicapping terms went from 5.6 to 5.6 via 6.3 and 5.3. That comes after last year when I went from 7.5 to 5.6, was always going to be tough following that up. My goal at the start of the season was to get down to 5 at some point and I achieved that, so have to be happy there and I'm...
Probably a 3 or a 4. I do enjoy my golf and since I've got down to 5 or 6 I've started maybe taking it a wee bit more seriously but I'm there to have a laugh primarily. I will get a bit annoyed at myself if I hit a terrible shot but it's all forgotten about straight away. I'm very happy and a...
I have no motivation to practice whatsoever, I'd say the only time that I practice is during the winter because I tend to try things that I normally wouldn't try, due to us having no qualifiers over the winter. I'll only go to the range and hit a bucket of balls if I've got something seriously...
