Never analyse your self on the course, never ever! Sure think about which club to play for course management, or how your set up is before swinging the club but that's it. Do all your analysis at the range or practise ground then on the course try not to think at all, just trust your swing...

It's golf; it's always fun, and always competitive! Whether in a medal or playing a round with friends(commonly referred to as a Death Match). I could only see it as being just for fun if you were on your own!

Pretty much spot on geronimo: It's getting to the stage where the Caddie does all the work; sees all the shots, picks all the clubs, chooses the line and the player just has a 'pretty swing'. Maybe they should change who gets the prize money and the players just get a percentage?!?
