I have seen Alans swing in real life and it is very good especially the driver. Your right hand looks a wee bit strong.

Well, I managed to stop A_F at impact...very tasty! Where did it go (as he didn't like it!). Pretty tidy.

Dormie...good tempo and solid strike, I think you may be sinking in a bit (watch your head compared to the background), if your head moves towards the ball or down, you'll have to do the opposite to get back - but top of swing looks very good too!! Very solid legs also....no wonder you can knock it round under 10.

Thanks everyone.
This was the my first round after changing from my baseball grip to the Vardon so my grip was all over the place at this point. As far as that shot's concerned, it my basically almost a duck hook into some jungle that I never recovered from and I went on to have a holocaust of a round after that.
I'm ashamed to say that Dormie went on to win this one and we didn't really speak again until late September I believe. In fact, I was so depressed that this was the day that we went straight from Letham Grange to the Open down the road and didn't see a stroke of live golf. We just sat in The Open Arms all afternoon and watched the gowf on the big screen. Absolutely bladdered by 6pm. Happy days.

Both decent swings. AF you've got a lot of club head speed happening (envious!) I think on this occassion you just turned the hands over a little quick = hook. I changed from a Vardon to an interlocking a bit over a year ago and it does feel weird for a wee while.
Dormies swing is fine, 2 suggestions - his head is a bit too low, needs to keep his chin up through the swing to allow a good shoulder turn. Also could get the knees pointing in rather than out at address - AF's knees are in a better position to allow a good weight shift.

@ Madandra and Mass, Friday would be good but unfortunately I wasn't able to get out of work commitments so can't make it. I'm sure you guys will give us a good update on the day and hopefuly I'll make the next one.

Birdieman you're spot on about the head being too low, it's something I've changed since then; just shows that some people here do know what they are talking about, you get a gold star, VG and big tick!
