Forget Club Systems and BRS. 'Intelligent Golf' is THE system to go for.

I'm also in the 'preferred the original layout of the hole' brigade. It may improve drainage, but the aesthetics of the hole have been changed for the worse.

I think you are right in saying that it won't be long before they bring it in as a comp handicap amendment. Don't agree with it though. Probably very unlikely, but you could get a scenario where a bloke off 36 and a lady off 54 enter an Open Betterball comp and get 81 shots !!

I know, which is why I called it a 'competiton' handicap and not a 'club' handicap. They tried to bring it in as a competition handicap amendment, but had to settle for just club handicap amendment due to protests from clubs. I am fully aware that quite a few clubs have taken up the club...

What do you mean when you say "you can't have normal size cups on those type of greens?". The vast majority of clubs seem to manage with normal size holes.

Bucket holes should be banned - absolute joke. What next, Mulligans, 16 clubs in the bag, lift clean and place 6 feet to avoid a tree, grass bunkers only on the course !! Let's not dumb the game down even more than England Golf tried to do this year with ridiculous handicap proposals...

Three divisions in Sat comps (11, 16, 28), and two in Wed comps (15, 28). Reviewed every year to ensure roughly same numbers in each division.

I could do with 15. In fact, a couple of years ago I took 15 out on course in comp. As Comps & Handicap Convenor, I had to DQ myself. Still not been able to live it down!!

Probably done it in the gym lifting heavy weights!! Also injured last year playing footy. Tiger injured through flaying 9 iron!! Another golfer injured the other year on the ski slopes. Why can't they just play effing golf?
