You know that "rule" where your ball drops into say thick grass, you and everyone saw it but you can't find it? And if everyones in agreement where it was you can drop in the fairway with a two shot penalty? Can this be used when you are putting a general play card in?

I think Rorys win last year will have removed the pressure and he will be close this year. He'll smack it round for fun, and crumbs can he smack it! The winner? God knows. I'd like to pick three that finish high enough for my bet on them to pay out for once.

It's a quality course. I played it last year for the first time. It's only a few miles from me. Greens were beautiful. Course is tough but offers chances to score. They are doing loads of work on it, I follow on FB just out of interest, this ensures quality for the members when the season starts.

How easy is it to get a ticket though?

I had reactor lenses once. Never again. You never get to see the world in it's full colourful glory, lit with wonderful yellow sunlight. My advice would be that unless you really need them, ie sunlight gives you headaches or something, then don't have sunglasses. You really will be missing out.

I'm in The Algarve since Tuesday. Lordy the rain today has been biblical all day....so far. Friday doesn't look good or Saturday. Crossing everything that the weather apps have got the forecast right for Sunday and Monday. I'm sat in shorts in the house we are renting with heaters on full blast.
