Just me and Mrs C who plays golf. I was thinking about doing a lads golf thing, but it's too much hassle, as those that have organised things on here know, so now will just do it as a thing for us. My idea is a week somewhere and play 3 times. There is no way the wife is going to play anymore...

Big holiday this year, the wife's bucket list thing. Next year I've decided to buy the bullet and do a proper golf trip with a couple of big courses to be played. So where would you go? I fancy either Kent coast or Portugal. But then there is Scotland with it's obvious attractions. So, where?

I seem to be putting myself in with the same blokes in comps. Not intentionally. Good job they are a nice bunch. Had a right laugh in the clubhouse afterwards. The place was rammed. We could do with a week of dry weather and some sunshine.

Mine has one, but seems quite relaxed about the rules. Hoodies on course, trainers in clubhouse and on course, phones in use in clubhouse all good.

Cordless are rubbish. Stick with corded. Also, the amount of Dyson s returned to tj Hughes when I worked there put me off for life.

Well....it went well. It was a scramble. I played well and chatter with all three blokes. One was a bit hard to break down but my golf wore him down in the end. But, as hinted at in other posts, there is already something that has greatly annoyed me. Unfortunately it happened late last night...

I was checking the club comps online last night and found a slot in a betterball. There were only three players, so I put my name in to make up the second pairing. Minutes later I got a message to say the pairings had changed. One bloke deleted his playing partner and moved the guy I was with...

July weekday is good for me. Except the 8th.

I'm not fan of playing for money. It's supposed to be about winning at golf not winning money. My new place its a fiver for the comps (£2 up on my last place). It's like putting a five quid bet on yourself to win.
