Alternate shots is as old as golf but 18 hole medal/stableford is what your handicaps based on. Or it used to be

They do work and save a lot of money come spring! Man hours to repair old divots. Sand and seed which costs a fortune now.

I don't think these are courses that care what other people think. Their club, their rules. They have the money to be able to do this.

Yes it’s why I would avoid anywhere that tells me I have to play my 32 handicap mates drive.😂
