We go every year and this was the best one in ages. Bobs round must be close to round of the year to go 6 under in wind as strong as that. The fact he and rory both birdied the last when bob had a fairway wood from the rough and rory was hitting a 2 iron stinger from the semi rough is amazing.
Hi All,
Am interested in joining one of the less well known courses in east lothian.
Does anyone have experience being a member of gifford/castle park/haddington/winterfield/etc?
Would be really interested to hear any recommendations.
Thanks
Hi all. Ive been using the scottish golf openplay on monthly subscription. Have put in 3 signed scores but it hasnt given mrme a handicap yet. Has anyone else had this issue?
Loads of good options. I really enjoy burntisland and aberdour which can both be found for under £40. Further up the cost scale, jubilee, crail, lundin links are all good. Cant go wrong really.
There are so many good courses under £100. Hard to give suggestions without a specific area. West linton is a great shout. Gullane 2 can be played under £100, as can craigielaw. Auchterarder can be found for about 40 and its alongside gleneagles.
Colin is a great coach - keeps things nice and simple instead of bombarding you with technical stuff. Recommended.
Can anyone recommend a good coach out in east lothian?
£2600 seems a bit silly for a joining fee. Not sure if thats the going rate in Edinburgh. I actually also prefer the big course at dalmahoy to mortonhall.
Wanted to revive this but not for travis matthew. Has anyone ordered apparel from US sites recently and if so what were the import charges? Id like to order some gear from random golf club and another site. Cheers.
Re the crowds and moving it to another country, it is definately possible to get bigger crowds for this here in Scotland/UK. From memory the solheim cup at gleneagles a few years ago had almost 100k spectators, so there must be interest.
I suspect lots of folk from this area had been to the...
Just got back from an afternoon at the tournament. Really enjoyed it - course is in perfect condition. Was much more impressed with the women in that wind than i was with the men in similar wind at renaissance a few weeks ago. Thought the crowd would be much bigger but the positive was you could...
Even with all the development its still crazy how hard it is to become a member anywhere in east lothian at the moment. From what i hear Gullane is closed for applications, so are north berwick and luffness, archerfield is a debenture, renaissance is an eye-watering debenture, craigielaw is 3-4...
