Appreciate comments regarding the wet conditions, but having played two local courses within the last week and then playing back at Batchworth, really highlights how bad the owners have let it go. They were down to about 5-6 greenstff a while ago, and now another two have left this week.

Are there any other members on this forum, from other Crown Golf courses (i'm Batchworth). If so, I would be interested to hear if they are currently maintaining the courses up to a reasonable standard.

I emailed Brocket Hall asking about a 36 hole package, they just replied straight away with a standard email listing their 18 hole deal !! £160.00 for 18 holes with food, so will probably give them a miss. We are looking to spend about £150 each (36 holes including food)

Have just emailed Brocket Hall to see what sort of price we might be looking at. John O Gaunt, where showing a county card day pass for £50 which sounds good if true. I have never used our County Card, so don't know if there are restrictions ?

I carry all year round but as a result I do suffer a bit from club shafts rubbing on the bag (and wearing the protective foam away on that part of the bag. I recently put a bit of pipe insulation foam on the part of the bag that was effected (held on by some cable ties). So far so good

I have the Pacer app on my smart phone. It goes in my bag as I carry and it registers my steps everytime I play golf. The wife uses a trolley and her phone doesn't register the steps when put in the trolley, so she often ask me to carry her phone in my bag, so she can register her steps !!
