When I first played Gullane in the late 80's I asked my playing partner was the little shed next to the clubhouse for the caddies......
His reply was....no it was the Ladies Clubhouse.
Am sure it has changed by now.....
Also I played in a 72 hole comp that year, after playing No.2 course I...
Played to my age (72)
Broke my age a few times
Played 5 new courses
1 club champs
1 overseas trophy (best 5 scores out of 6 on different courses)
1 major trophy at an away course (gross)
Went out with the boys today in 32C and did not hit a shot......drank a few beers though
Just waiting to hear the results of the MRI on Tuesday about my knee.
Did not see it advertised here, saw the headlines after the event, not that it would have mattered, cannot see myself watching this format no matter who is playing, will not be long and they will want OWGR points. :ROFLMAO:
32C at 9.00 tomorrow so we will be going early to the beach, topping off over 40C later in the day......
Normal for me but for my English wife who has spent more time in OZ then England it is still hard for her to accept.
All the English Xmas's I spent it was strange for me, but I really...
No Irukandji on this side of OZ......but in the early 80's when I was in Cairns they were everywhere, hence no swimming in the surf, I was lucky to be told by a local just before I went in at place called Clifton Beach about 15 miles north of Cairns, not a hotel to be seen, now they have taken over.
41C forecast for Xmas day, will take my (English) wife for her traditional swim with a bottle of bubbly.
My job is to stand on the shoreline and look for sharks.....:ROFLMAO:
I would have had to wait till 21/1 for the scan at the closest place, rang them and they suggested one about 1 1/4 hours away, and made the appointment for me, cannot complain about that service, the MRI is not covered by our health service, going to cost $350 or 175 pounds.
Problem with my left knee, had difficulty swinging the club, it blew up like a balloon overnight, lucky to get in to see the doctor and having MRI on Monday, now taking anti inflammatory tablets.
So a quiet few days or weeks ahead.....good news are the tablets are working.
