    course recommendations near woolacombe

I would take the offer of playing RND up. Played it last year on a twilight offer ( £25 i think) Its a great links course and some ways quite unique,Although it shares many of the traits of a typical flat links layout eg hard fast running fairways etc. What makes it difficult is the sea...

What's wrong with changing shoes in a car park?

I wonder if goes back to the days of metal spikes, Over the years no doubt that metal spikes would damage the tarmac. but more than likely like a previous post, you would not change into swimming gear in the car park idea.

bump n run or fly it high?

I remember watching a leadbetter video on the short game: He ethos was to use the lowest loft club lands on the green to allow the consistant roll. Should really think about using it myself, easy to forget and always play the fly it high or bump and run opition.

    How good are your greens.

Stuart C Your at Lee Park arent you? I went back a couple of weeks ago, I agree they where in fantastic condition. Played Blundells hill also in the same week, the start of the good weather, apparently they took a chance and did their work early on the greens, although they did not roll as...

    Filey Golf Club

I have had the pleasure of playing Filey twice when visting the area. 1st thing, IMO having played a number of links courses, this is not a links course in the slightest. Yes its on the coast but thats about it, but its a classic parkland set up. But it is a course that is well worth a visit...

Is the fade a PROPER golf shot?

Thats very true, but they also have stock shot and only shape the ball the other way when the shot demands it. They generally dont shape the ball just for the heck of it unless your name is Bubba

Is the fade a PROPER golf shot?

A soft fade, is a very nice shot to have. Its often considered a safe shot but that i mean there is little that can go wrong with it. If you draw the ball you open yourself up to blocking the ball straight right or overdoing it and hooking it. So any given day when its not quite on the mark...

    Liverpool Muni Courses

I have no doubt, if they ever get the money to do what is promised at bootle it will probably be the best Muni in the Liverpool area, I believe it was already meant to be finished but the company that leased it off the council asked for more time due to lack of funds. Bootle has a links like...

    starting up a driving range

First of all good luck with your venture. I think a lot has already been mentioned: Depending on competition in the area, setting up a well stocked shop could be both a good idea and bad. Great if there are no other shops about, but you need to have the expertise to sell the equipment, Custom...

    Liverpool Muni Courses

Cheers for the comments guys, I will give sherdly park a look in, what worries me about it, the back 9 i could probably just about drive 4 of the holes. I wonder how much of a challenge it would be, given that the SSS is -3 under par even of the whites and no par 4 over 400y. Again Allerton...

    Liverpool Muni Courses

Still think about what to do for my golf this year While full private membership is out of the question. I have the choice of playing social golf with some comps attached although without handicap rights or i could join a local Muni Club: I know there is a few guys in the merseyside area on...
