Not sure mate. I'm guesing visitor would be around 40 sheets. If you oragnise a game i'll come. last winter it drained poorly though. Might be on temps but socket rocket with know more than me

Yes. Will be in the spring or summer when I hopefully get chance to go as not even finished college yet and have loads of work to do throughout the holidays over Christmas but after the new years it drops off a lot so will have far more free time.

Looks a decent place there. How much is a round on there as I cannot see it anywhere on the site. Probably me not looking properly but:confused:
I think its around £25 weekdays and £35 weekends. It's cheaper when playing with a member so let me know if you are in the area.

You must be mixing it up with somewhere else! The course is never on Temps, it has a sandy based soil and always stays open other than in flash flood conditions.

I think it may have been last jan when graham took me onto one of the par 3's just over the bridge for my lesson. Cant remember if the whole course was closed or only 9 open for play. I only say temps because there was a temp green infront of the green. I'm not 100% when it was but you would certainly know better than me. Has anyone ever hit a car driving in and out?

If you remember last winter there was a massive rainfall that created flooding around the country. Boughton suffered like most courses but as it has a number of additional par 3 holes that can be opened for 18 holes anytime. it didn't stop play.

So was the par 3 I had my lesson on not part of the usual 18 hole course? It was well nice too

Not sure. If conditions apply there are three additional par 3's that can be used, there is also a par 3 that is available as a practice area. Can you describe the par 3 you used?

We drove down a big hill and over a small bridge. I think it was red the green was thin and long and there MAY have been a stream to the side of the green

I was aware that pro's use them but not at the top end. I wouldnt put i20's into the GI group

AP1s are pretty much equivalent to I20/25 etc, which is what the 'best iron player n the world' uses,

Just because to CAN hit blades well doesn't mean you SHOULD hit blades, These guys are trying to make the lowest score they can, so will use whatever works best at doing that!

Y E Yang's longest iron is a 6-iron these days - and he's a Major winner!

I have i20's and use ap1's on the range. They are not even close to being the same. When at the range and using my ap1's I have to lean back to stop the ball from going up my nose :D

That sounds like the 11th green. Around 170 yards with a bunker left and right and a lake to the back.

The greens at Boughton tend to be long and narrow with bunkers down the sides.
