They had far too many products, for a small company like that, what did they have, 30, 40 models of putter? That's all cost, cost, cost.

Of course having a $1million order pulled out from underneath them at the last minute isn't going to help...
 
You have to think realistically that million pound order has only cost them between 500k-750k approximately. I would have thought they could have sustained this, it would have just meant a large amount if stock sitting around
 
Did they really have that many models? Whatever the reason for this I can't see them carrying on operations form their current base. If another putter manufacturer takes over I would have though it would make sense to consolidate production to their own operation. I feel sorry for the staff though with such a short notice period and just before Christmas

If they'd been making a profit perhaps but I believe they'd lost over $3million dollars in the previous 3 years. Losing that order was, apparently, the final straw.
