Every Day if you could?

Weather permitting of course

As much as I love the game and I'm normally counting down the hours until my next round, I'm not sure I could handle playing every day both physically and mentally if i wanted to perform consistently.

Or am I just a wuss?

When I was a kid I played every day of the summer holidays, sometimes 36 holes a day, would kill to be able to do that again.

Then again I hadn't discovered women or beer, the reason I gave up golf for 15 years

If time allowed (ie short distance travel time/setup time) I would love to do 9 before work or right after work.

Sadly its the old women and beer thing for me too...

Well wife and PC games anyway :D

I do so many things, about 4-6 games seriously as well as a full time job, wife and housework/cooking etc

Just cannot fit it all in with sleep and bowl movements taking up time too

As a kid I did exactly the same. Disappeared from the house at the crack of dawn, back at dusk. At aged 8 both parents went to work full time. Wouldnt happen now! One school report said 'I do not know this child' (class!).
I became quite good, getting to county standard and winning the London Schoolboys etc.
Oh, and then beer and women got in the way. Still, I could have ruined things in worse ways!
Would I like to do it now - yep! Just to see how good I could get these days.

My routine playing schedule is 3 qualifiers per week - Tuesday, Friday, Sunday.

PLUS

matches, invitations, away days, away weekends etc. which can lead to situations such as 9 rounds in 11 days.

I then find that golf is becoming a chore.

Definitely. Was hoping that my ticket was the winning one in last nights Euromillions, which would have enabled me to play every day!! :( :(

I'd certainly do it if I could. Play a few times a week as it is and that never feels enough. I think you'd have to mix it up though and play a few different courses....but I wouldn't complain if I had to play my own course everyday! At least not for the first few weeks. I do think you would start to feel the physical effects after a while though. Depends how fit you are I suppose!

I couldn't play the same course every day like some of our Seniors do. If I had a rotation of 4 or 5 courses then I wouldn't mind playing every day - body allowing of course.

I love the idea of it, but not sure the reality would be nearly as much fun.

That said, 3 days a week would be wicked!

when I was in teaching up until about 4 years ago during the summer hols I got quite close to doing this but certainly felt I needed a break at times.. more variety of courses would have helped but there are a few other things to do in life.
now I'm stuck behind an office desk all day with restricted holidays I get very frustrated when the sun is shining and its school holiday time :( :( :(
