Just like football it's a funny old game.

In the weekly seniors comp on Thursday got my worst score of the year, 6 blobs and 21 stableford points, utter despair.

Travelled down south at weekend to visit daughter and played Pansanger at Welwyn with my son in law and scored my PB, it was 92 up to then. Needed a par on the last par 5 to shoot 89 and break 90 for the first time. Unfortunately got a bogey 6 to score 90, but can’t complain I’m knocking on the sub 90 door, just a matter of time

quite a long hole the last at Pansanger so a 6 is not too shabby

played my 1st ever round there and got 136... found every tree on the course

great score though as it is a tricky course

I have to admit on two occassions the trees were kind to me. hit the trees full on, only for the ball to be deflected back onto the fairway.
