Played (well, almost) last Saturday in glorious sunshine. Pigging cold at 0800, but sunny. Was quite nice by 10 o clock. Course is in ok nick (til they drill and fill on the 11th), but the leaves are falling, and the rough is getting long, wet, and hard to escape from. The bunkers are like mud too.

Kind of got the impression that winter golf is coming, sooner rather than later.
Weather today looks cold, damp and grey, and set for the week. Playing on Friday if a mates gout has sorted itself out.

Have put my wooly hat and mitts back in the bag for the weekend, along with the goretex, and the umbrella.

Summer's gone, again. :(

It's when you feel the chill in the wind that you know winter's approaching. I can stand the cold and a bit of light rain but it's that chill wind that really spoils the enjoyment.

Played Golspie on Saturday morning, chilly to start but a lovely day after that, bright sunshine.

Sunday at Muir of Ord, had one of those long sleeve undervests on to start with but had to take if off after 2 holes boiling.

Soft Southern Jessies :D

Not up here its not, Whisky :)

Only ever seen Deep Fried Mars bars once and that was in the Boarders, and they are all English anyway :D

Patrick I agree, your a real Scot, 100%!

Anyway back on track, this big poof here had wooly hat and mitts on playing the Old Course (had to get that in again!!) on Saturday! What a big poofta, but as JF says when that chill wind blows boy is it brass monkeys time! :D

Played Friday and Monday in the rain and although uncomfortable it was never really cold. Today its just grey - not too cold at all.
Winter's coming though. Wont be long.
Soggy peanut voucher to the first club to enforce Winter Rules.

I'm getting the under armour's ready although I'm confident it'll be a few weeks yet. I might need a bobble hat soon if we get a few clear nights (so not this week then) but reckon it'll only be on for a few holes
