Hi

I have a chance of a four ball for £40 at woodham golf & country club with choice of premium tee slots

Has anyone played there and how did you find it?

Has anyone played it this year after the bad weather?

I'm thinking of booking anyway but I'd though I'd get an idea first before putting the idea to the lads.

Thanks

Kev

Woodham is a nice course, especially the back 9 that has a number of very good holes on it. The only problem is that it suffers badly with drainage so at the moment it might not be in very good nick, part the course may even be closed and might be on temps? Would advise ringing first to see.

Theres also a strange old man who hangs about outside the clubhouse, queer little fella but he will give you the weather forecast for the day before you tee off :D

I love your dogleg par 5 on the back 9 with the pond infront of the green. Was my favourite hole on the course

The 13th if I remember correctly :D. The other Par 5 on the back 9, the 15th, is another nice hole. Then the 17th which is the touchest Par 3 ive played

Played there a couple of times as it's only a few miles from me and i really like it but as said above it really does suffer from drainage and tends to waterlog. Last time i played there in winter aswell you had to carry a little fairway mat round with you and play your shot off it if you were on the fairway which was a pain in the arse.

Aint had any rain round here since sunday so it may be starting to drain a little and it's forecast to stay dry the rest of the week.

When are you thinking of playing?

Oh and the par 3 17th is a nasty hole but fun also.

no date set in stone but possibly gonna try for next weekend.

Thanks for the advice about the drainage issues, probably the reason I've managed to find a four ball for £40.

I'm gonna play Garesfield or Ryton this weekend but will see after that
