Got this on in the corner of one monitor at work. Didn't realise how much Lydia Ko looks like she's sucking a lemon :o

Another cut made (only EVER missed 2, or maybe 3!), but likely to be the only stat worth noting for her! Cold putter! Just seems unable to be totally comfortable/confident with that change of gear. Unless she suddenly feels 'free' from the pressure of making the cut and has a round or 2 like she has had in the past! Highly unlikely to happen imo, but would love to see some sort of 'charge' in round 3, just to see how it affects those at/near the top!

Putter is the one club - even more than Driver or FW! - that is so personal that any change is possible/likely to cause problems when changing sponsors! Many touring pros specifically exclude putter from kit contracts!

Also great to see Anna Nordqvist performing so well - in spite of glandular fever!

Was there Wednesday and yesterday afternoon/evening. Stunning golf on a very tough course in difficult conditions. Some of the elevation changes into a stiff wind and driving rain... IK Kim's second shot into 17 into driving rain was stunning, and then both her playing partners put their's closer.

Very low scoring -17 so far after nearly 3 rounds for leader. I have played the course twice myself and although generous off the tee it wasn't an easy track imo so that scoring is very impressive. Looking like a 2 horse race, the English girl in second hits it a long way, lets hope she can come through tomorrow.

Shame about the three dropped shots after getting within a couple of the lead.

Six shots *should* be enough of a cushion for IK Kim.

Yep, perhaps a shower or two late afternoon but no wind to speak of due, shame, a good duel is what's needed, not a procession.

Watched the last 5 or 6 holes of this yesterday. What a terrific 3 wood to 17 under a lot of pressure by the winner effectively sealing the deal. Don't understand why crowds are so low though - the product is decent enough and the course is visually very appealing - are they overcharging or is Kingsbarns too remote? Biggest Open crowds ever were at St Andrews just up the road so it shouldn't be the reason.

I was planning to go but didn't bother mainly because of the weather.

When I've been before it's noticeable that the majority of the crowd were female. My guess is that lots of the male golf supporting public don't have the same interest in watching the female game. It's their loss.

I think there is an underlying snobbery value from a lot of male golfers. I know from some of the comments in the bar at the weekend, the respect for the way these ladies play wasn't there. As a result I can't see them paying to watch the ladies play

It was only £25 a day for a ticket, or £60ish for a season ticket. So cost isn't an issue. I was there friday and it was a mainly female crowd, i think its mainly due to exposure the womens game is not shown much so not many will bother to go. I know my mate i went with enjoyed it but said he'd of enjoyed it more if he knew more of the players.

It's a catch 22 tho, without the viewers then it won't get shown more but without it getting shown more they won't get the viewers.

My feeling is the final day's tee times are too late. Is this because of TV? Most folk, I suspect, wouldn't want to be there after about 5pm on a Sunday.

Seen bits and pieces over the weekend. Really impressed with the play. Taking realistic clubs into greens. Most impressed with the quality of hybrid and wood shots. Terrific control.

Even Michelle wie had 9 and 11 woods in the bag. Yet many on here still try to bag 4 and 5 irons when they can't hit them half as good as these girls. when will people learn. ;)
