Woburn Pro-Am

Got the opportunity with one of the pros from my club to play in a pro-am at Woburn in February 2015

i seem to remember someone on here was a member at Woburn, but can't remember who it was (Fundy perhaps???)

just wondered how the courses there cope in the deepest depths of winter, I've only ever played there in summer

The Pro Am is normally on the Dukes

The course held up very well last year with very good drainage - couple areas around the 3rd and 4th are the ones at danger of too much water - greens will be receptive if a bit slower than normal

You will also be able to have a practise round at winter guest rate the week before

We played last Feb but there was no need for CDH numbers or HC certificates and the winners were very suspect ( 28 to 23 HC and getting 46 to 43 points ) and the course was presented immaculately

Get a nice spread of carvery and good prizes and the welcome pack includes course planner tees etc

I'm also playing the Pro Am at your place in November :thup:

Running out of holidays fast, and need to keep a day for the Woburn trip, so weekend would be best

Not me sadly Break90 but played there a fair bit. Its on sand and drains pretty well, better than most places thats for sure!

And if you and Phil need one to make up the numbers

We played the Wandlebury last week and it was a stunning Autumn day and the course was immaculate. I actually said that in terms of quality it ranked up their with Woburn for me. Obviously not quite as mature but in such well kept condition that it was a delight. Wish we lived closer!

Just checked properly, it's 10 am onwards, and it may be less than 30quid as it will be winter rates.

lets see if Fundy and Amanda fancy it, otherwise I'll put it in Arrange a game. Unfortunately limited to a 4 ball on a sunday

I would be good for that with one small caveat. I have a seat into a poker tournament at DTD that week. The Sunday is day 3 and theres about a 3% chance Im still on the Sunday, if that happens Ill have to cancel at short notice (Sat night). Understand if thats an issue and you'd rather people who can commit 100%
