I think I must be addicted to golf!

Having spent the summer playing 2-3 times per week, and managing to get out at least one evening a week for 9 or 18, since the clocks went back I have found myself getting rather down. (I wrote 'depressed' there first but that was a little extreme - I just miss the golf).

As I write this I look out of my window into pitch black. This time last month I could have been out hitting balls.

Having only been playing this game for 3 years does anybody have any remedy for these winter blues. I didn't get them before I was a golfer. It doesn't help that the last 2 Saturday rounds have been very wet and windy.

BRING ON THE SPRING!!

I reach for the games consul and play something like Tiger woods golf, it's not the same but will scratch the itch for a while. :)

I usually do a bit of knitting or something till the clocks go forward. Only joking. i work 4 on 4 off which is normally quite a fruitful shift pattern for a golfer but as ive found this set of 4 off its rained every day so i go the range otherwise i fear i may loose the plot.

Just get out and play - if the course is open then play it.
Wrap up warm and its still fun.

I'm so glad I eventually got to a post under this thread where someone talks some sense!!

Granted, evening golf is a bit tricky in the dark, but there's no reason not to play at weekends. I'm lucky that I can get out in the week too, so I still play twice a week even in the middle of winter.

It's a different game, sure, but the fact that it's 15-20 degrees colder, windy, with rain coming down sideways is absolutely NO reason to have to start having deep meaningful conversations with the wife.

I'd rather get frostbite.
