It's like something from a biblical epic.

And the rains didst cometh, and it teemed down for 40 days and 40 nights!

The light nights are here, I had last weekend free too. But where is the motivation to go out when it's absolutely belting it down?

I'm not purely a fair weather golfer, but the prospect of getting a damned good soaking after work or home for some tea and watching the rain out of the window...... well, it's a no brainer really!

I didn't pack any stuff to go out to practice tonight after work as the forecast said heavy showers all afternoon. One heavy shower about 4 and then dry all evening. Not happy at a missed opportunity

Tell me about it man, my pal cancelled this morning because of the damn weather. It wasn't even raining here but was where he was. Hoper its nice now got 3 rounds in 3 days lined up.

Granted, playing in torrential rain probably isn't fun, but I went out on Sunday in very blowy, occasionally rainy weather and it was great fun. Was a whole new challenge playing the same course as always, but with 40mph gusts and puddles on some of the greens. ;)

A wee bit of rain never hurt anybody, try living in Renfrewshire, its rains 361 days a year or it seems like it anyway, my waterproofs are used more than my 3 iron these days, thats a fact!
