Played with a few good players over the years. Best is probably Mark Roe. Awesome short game and hits great trick shots. Nice chap too...

Ive played with club pro's several times, usually 9 holes as they are often busy and there is a world of difference there that you can see even if they are having a poor day scoring.
The best player is the question and although I have played against or with or in friendlies with golfers from 4 h/c to a tour professional (though he wasnt then and it was a charity thing) I can honestly say the best player I ever played with frequently was a 5 h/c player who always played to his h/c or occasionally would have a good day where he would murder some of the best golfers out there if he was playing them at the time. Always consistant, always helpful, rarely offered banter, just talk about interesting things rather than tosh and went about his golf in a no nonsense manner. Worked out where he was in most cases by the last few steps to his ball, had his club out as he came to a halt, quick check of the ball, quick line up, loosen up swing, then address and hit. Club back in bag in most cases when ball is in flight and usually walking forward as it hits the ground unless partner/opponant playing. Yet still managed some of the best conversations and funny stories about all sorts including golf between shots as well as great tips. I dont know what this chap does now or even if he is alive, but he was a great bloke and the best golfer I have ever played with.
