Who's gaming DG X100 ??

I was last year, hit them well but probably just too heavy and stiff for once a week golf for me

Got X200's at present. Was very happy with the X100's but would only suggest these is you are struggling with your current ball flight or suffer from balloning balls (not the medical condition).

I find that while you can still hit the ball high if needed they do help control the trajectory and stop too much balloning of the ball.

My Swing Speed when fitted for X100's a few years ago was 98mph with a six iron for reference and the Mizuno Swing DNA suggested these shafts first.

I was just thinking today about totally retro'ing a Cleveland Classic driver with a DG X100 steel shaft.Has anybody tried one in a driver?

Would you expect a change from R300 to these to increase the length of carry ?

Probably not, but as ever it depends.
If you are totally over powering the R300 and getting a ballooning distance robbing ball flight then maybe. But for most mere mortals I would say no.

BUT, it is impossible to say from the information, or lack thereof, presented in this thread.

I have been using X100 for a couple of years only in my irons though

I dont think they feel much stiffer than s300 I just get a much tighter dispertion with them but I wouldn't try one in a driver especially persimmon you would need to be the worlds strongest man just to pick it up

The RAC irons are doing just that flying very high on a good shot with a draw on a bad one maybe a little hookie. I bought the irons as set to leave at my holiday home but I love the feel of them so now want to stick with them but I don't think R300 are stiff enough.

I have been offered a set of X100 for £25 but just wanted to get a feeling from you guys on how they might play.

I've used these shaft for two years now and they've knocked down my flight and give a much more penetrating flight. I was previously using S300s and they kept ballooning. The X100s have a high kick and do need to a fairly tasty swing speed to get something from it; more suited to a hitter rather than a swinger! ;)

I have the same clubs with S300's in and can't fault them.
In my experience the X100 doesn't play much stiffer than the S300,but the difference between the R300,and the S300 is very noticeable.
The TP's have quite a long hosel so tend to play a little bit stiffer than the shaft would do normally.

Interesting so in that case they would play even stiffer right
