My wedges are starting to show battle wounds and I'm looking into replacing them. I have a vokey 60* and I want to get a 56* aswell. I was in AG over the weekend and looked at a few different wedges but was about to buy a new vokey 56 til I had a few hits with a Cleveland 56 and I loved it,was alot easier to hit then the vokey. Now I'm stuck in 2 minds. What are peoples opinions on both wedges? It might make my mind up easier. Cheers

based on that statement seems pretty straightforward that you should get the cleveland and not listen to anyone else imo. for the record i changed from clevelands to vokeys late last year, mainly because i found the clevelands a little too light for me

I've been finding the 56* Vokey quite head heavy for anything other than bunker shots but it all clicked last week. Stopped to let a group through and give my brothers back a rest, dropped a few balls around a green and it all seemed to come together well.

Ive had Cleveland wedges at one point and they were really top quality clubs. For me, as good as Vokeys.

I fell out with my Cleveland 60 degree after a day where I bladed every single shot with it. I knew deep down that it wasnt the clubs fault at all but I couldnt even look at the thing anymore, never mind play with it! So I had to get rid of it.

Definitely, 100% go with the Cleveland though if you think its easier to hit.

The fact that your wedge is a Vokey wont help you when your standing over a tough chip over a bunker with no green to work with in your medal round... the fact that it is easier to hit, will...

Sounds like a no brainer - if you like it, get it!

Golf Gear Direct online are doing new Cleveland CG12 Chrome Wedges 56/14 & 56/16 for £55 each down from £88, if your interested, i've bought stuff recently off them and found them to be pretty good.

I might go with a 56* Cleveland and stick with my 60* vokey just to mix it up. Plus the Cleveland is €30 cheaper so that can be spent on something else

I've just swapped my cleveland 588 gap wedge for a vokey. Far prefer the vokey, much better weight for me and not keen on the curviness of the cleveland.

My mate has just got a CG15 from Nevada Bob in Farnborough and it has some serious spin on even little 1/2 shots. Mind you it also mashses the old Pro V up a treat too.

I find the Vokey a bit heavy (same with the Cally's) and prefer the weight of the Cleveland but like my mate find the spin control really hard to control. If I was looking for a new set I'd look at the Ping series or the new Nike ones
