If you had the chance to take on any pro off your handicap him off whites, you off yellows for a couple of quid matchplay
Who do you think you could beat?

If we are talking about the top boys then I'd say probably none as the difference between the yellow and whites would be negligible to them and in a straight matchplay shoot out I still think even giving me 11 shots they'd be too strong.

That said there are a few clubs pros I'd fancy my chances against although my own pro is pretty hot around our club and would be reluctant to take him on

Probably none of them!
I'd have to play to my handicap but they'd probably shoot 4 or 5 under and beat me 2&1.
A club pro though I'd have a chance against.

The +5 doesn't count. If they're Pro they're off scratch.

If I had a choice, I'd love to have a go at G Mac, he's a great striker of the ball but what a way to get stuffed. Any of the Irish guys would do, but I'd love a go at Graeme. Maybe Mike could arrange that.

At last clubchamp, someone with the kahuna's to name a name, it is after all a bit of fun. myself I would love to take on Sergio. P.s sorry stevek didn't see your answer, well done.

Tiger .....bring it on :D

No point in messing ,go for No. 1 . Would play him at my place as long as he hit driver on every hole par the Par 3s, he may free drops in the desert with 5 tonne rocks as immoveable objects but you cant move 4ft gorse bushes. :D

Good bit of fun, and I'd chose to play David Howell as he seems to be a nice, down-to-earth kind of guy.
However, those who think they will beat a Tour Pro are sadly misplaced, and that includes pros that are not playing well and amatuers off very low handicaps. If the match took place at the amateur's home course, then the Tour Pro would find the course relatively easy and blow the lights out (unless it happens to be a Tour event course). If it was held at an Open venue or similar, then the amateur is very unlikely to score well. You only have to go to the practice ground at The Open to evidence the huge difference in abilities.

the one down the road, she only charges a fiver :o

This deserved more notice for the humour value!

I'd fancy it with a local pro.....2 shots a hole? or is that 2 holes a shot?
