Whatever happened driving/utility irons.

I think it's a versatility thing, I had a 2 iron and a 5 wood in the bag, I only really used the 2 iron off the tee. I replaced then both with a 2 iron hybrid. It does go higher than the 2 iron, but I can hit it off the tee/deck, fairway and light rough.

I still have the 2 iron somewhere, I may practice with is some more. I'd like a lower flight alternative

From the Callaway Staffer I know....,Not before 13 Jan (or was that Jan '13) n Europe.

Samples are hen's teeth apparently. Whether that's fact or 'marketing' is up for debate.

What do you mean by 'hens teeth'. Is it good or bad? What people have been saying is they give a penetrating flight, that would be ideal where I play (very windy). Also I have a RBZ 19deg hybrid, there's a huge gap between that and my 4iron. I think the 21deg callaway xproto would fit in between them nicely??
