As well as wearing plaid, long white socks with shorts, trousers that end at the knees etc etc !

A domestic goddess I am not but currently in my (seldom used) oven there is some home-made flapjack turning a lovely golden colour and smelling pretty darned good. I play a lot of golf (really? I hear you say) and am bored of the usual cereal bars and cannot get through 18 holes without some sustenance...

Certainly wouldn't have contemplated that without golf as the reason !

So - fess up (although mine is probably on the tame side)..

A domestic goddess

Brave putting stuff like that on here. Smiffy and Bob have very warped minds. HID does a great weetabix cake recipe as I'm diabetic and not suppose to eat anything overly sugary which ticks all the right boxes medically and is actually damn tasty.

Golf has seen me in a pair of tartan shorts for a lost bet. Apart from the odd hissy fit involving launching clubs in my yonger days I've not really done anything too bad. I put a tear in one of the netting dividers between two bays at a range near me when I was down in London. Swiped at it with a 5 iron and it split on impact. Wasn't too proud of that

Ooh weetabix cake sounds lush - send me the recipe. That will get Smiffy and co taking the proverbial I'll bet :)

Ouch to the range damage but so long as your 5 iron was ok !!

Try to slit my wrists with a wooden spoon, bang my head against the office wall, scream "Nooooooooo!" a lot.... oh, Golf? I thought you said "Golf forum" ;)

im usually a pretty laid back person but golf presses the right buttons!! Only had one major hissy fit and chucked my old driver at my bag! Felt a bit silly after!! But certainly gets me frustrated!! It also gets me out of bed at the crack of dawn which is unusual!!

On the subject of snacks I usually chuck in a bananna and a tub of almonds which are supposed to be another slow release of energy, I usually only remember to eat them on the back nine so waste of time really! The old guys I sometimes play with tempt me with shots of whiskey but I'm sure that's just to put me off my game!

1. Spell better.
2. Be nice to Man U fans on golf forums
3. Eat bananas during sport
4. watch a sporting event for 8 hours a day for 3 days (ryder cup)
5. Watch a womens sporting event for 8 hours a day for 3 days (solheim cup)

Wear thermals, invite strangers to stay in my house before a forum meet, check out ebay for bargains, and go on trips to places like St Andrews and Saunton with very strange men.:mmm:

I didnt drink one friday evening last season due to having a big match the next morning:mmm:

First friday I havent had a beer since i was 18 i think, and to this day its the only one

This golf carry on certainly makes us do things which are certainly out of character:p

Not see enough of my family.. :o

On the food side, I'm also diabetic but to me golf is exercise so I need to keep my carbohydrates high and see it as an opportunity to eat while I'm playing. Typical foods will be croissants with apricot jam, cheese and pickle sandwiches, fruit, kit-kats, a sausage cob at the halfway house, tea cakes, etc. I'd just add, not all in the same round.

Jesus! an occasional banana is about my limit, I rely heavily on nicotine for my sustenance.
