A cut - focused on getting my handicap down.

Came in with 5 under CSS recently and came 3rd - still very very happy as I got a decent cut from that. If I am honest it crossed my mind that I may have won with that score (at least the division anyway) but the lad that did was 11 under and played a blinder by all accounts so fair play to him. He was a junior playing in the mens comp for the first time so I think he deserved it .

I should have got my name on the board in my first ever major junior tournament.

Instead I got 3 TopFlite balls, and 5 words in the local paper.

I've had cuts since, but never got that close to being remembered for posterity anytime in the 33 years since.

I'd take a cut everytime.
I play comp's as they are the only way for me to get my handicap down.
If a win comes along as well I see it as a bonus.

Tough one. On balance voted for a win.

Golf is a competitive sport and as much as it is you against the course, it is also you against the field. A win doesn't come that often (nor do cuts these days ) so got to be a little bit special.
