I had a 4bbb matchplay friendly today. Played with my regular partner and got beat 3 and 2. The banter was top notch. I broke 80 which was good on greens that had been pencil tined during the week and the new Titleist D2 driver behaved itself beautifully. Roast beef dinner this evening -a perfect day I'd say !

Not too bad except perhaps the result. I didn't play at all or practice as I've spent the day with my mum. She's battling cancer and just finished chemo and it was her 75th birthday today so HID took her out for a lovely meal, a potter around a few garden centres (mum loves her garden) and home for nice bit of tea and some birthday cake. A perfect day in my book

Beats my day gardening. My back hurts, my shoulder hurts, and no doubt my tennis elbow will come back in the morning. Just getting my excuses in early for the big game on Wednesday with Smiffy. Not looking good for the old gits team. :( :( :(

Good one Homer :) ; lost my mum at 78 in June last year while i was up at eth Belfry. She got through quite a tough bout of lung cancer and a very big op when they took a very big chunk of her lung away - was successful but 6 weeks later she just developed a blood clot and went very quickly indeed. One of teh nice memories was a surprise 75th for her a couple of years earlier with a load of the old family and friends she hadnt seen for a good while.

keep looking after her :) Hope she enjoyed the day

we bought a pressure washer last year from Lidl but couldnt get it to work - finally sorted it yesterday and spend Sat afternoon doing half teh back patio and the front - great fun. Did the rest of teh patio thsi afternoon - pI**ed teh ants off no end in jetting all teh moss out of the cracks between teh slabs, but they were all out and about again this evening - i suppose as long as they stay out there than the house its prob ok..
Seriously good fun though - blokes with gadgets eh :)
