Tickets bought for the Play off final at Wemberlee. :whoo:
Looking like an early start the morning of the 26th for a run down the M1 with around another 60,000 Yorkies for Town v Sheffield Utd final.

Bitter disappointment last season at Old Trafford. This season we just have to do it.

Can see it being an expensive day out in the rip of capital city. (Had to say it, being a Yorkshireman!!!)
Not bothered, absolutely buzzing and looking forward to it.

Come on you Terriers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would have been there mate, but got the Combination Cup same day and already entered with my partner so can't withdraw....will be watching it live though straight after the golf.......praying for an early tee time.......it's going to be a great final......we just HAVE to get promotion this year.....

Good luck, I'm sick of the place myself. :)

A tip - come of at junction 5, park by a pub called the fusilier near Harrow (about 20 mins drive from junction 5, but misses all the heavy Wembley traffic), 20 mins walk from Wembley. Go out the same way, it misses lots of the traffic.

Thanks for that Liverbirdie. I feel your pain mate, felt exactly the same last season at Old Trafford! Bitter, bitter disappointment. We still come back for more though, don't we?

Thats the difference between fans and supporters.

Supporters support regardless of the situation, fans moan and whinge when the results don't go there way and then they start to point the finger and call for the managers head.

Good luck fella hope the result goes your way.

+1. Only ever been to Huddersfield's ground once. Once was enough. :)

I am going myself tomorrow, and like Huddersfield, Blackpool suffered heartbreak at Old Trafford last season, 2-1 up with 20 mins to go and safe, only to lose the game and get relegated. We have bounced back too, just got to overcome those pesky Hammers now.

Good luck chaps - in 96 we were beaten with the last kick of the game and in 97 we won it with the last kick (against Sheffield Utd).

Only been to the Hudd once - lost 5-0 (1999). Marcus Stewart seemed to score for fun against the Palace! And we had Fraser Digby in goal then.

Went to Wembley last year for the Championship play off against Swansea. Great day out. Found this nice pub near Baker Street, that was taken over by Reading supporters. Good beer, grub, and banter, until we realised it was getting near kick off and we only just made it in time for the start.

Despite it being a top day, so glad not to go through the pain of losing a final again. All the best to all those going to the three finals.

Hope our boy Morrison doesn't let Huddersfield down. Reading defenders have a habit of forgetting how to defend at Wembley.:mmm:

I was at both finals - all manner of emotions experienced on those days!

It still puzzles me to this day how on both occasions Palace managed to sell 40,000 tickets and yet I've sat in the Holmesdale on a wet Tuesday evening playing Barnsley and felt like I was the only one there......... I guess every team have their fair weather fans.

Play off finals are always great - enjoy.

Good luck Huddersfield and Sheffield United.
Great memories at Huddersfields old ground in 1983 when Newcastle clinched promotion there in a 2-2 draw to get back into the old top league.
We completely took over 3 sides of the ground and must have had 15000 there in a gate of around 23000.
Fantastic day.

Sorry to disappoint further Mattyboy but it was in fact 7-1.:whoo:

I remember finishing my beer at half time. Marcus Stewart scored very early in the 2nd half. A mate moaned we had missed a goal. I said "Don't worry about it, he'll no doubt get another!"
Summed up how good we were in those days, especially at fortress McAlpine. (As it was called then.)
Would be great to see those good times return at the Galpharm.
