What is the earliest tee time you can book, as a member, on a Saturday at your club?

From this Saturday we are not allowed to book any earlier than 8:30am to allow the green keepers to work on the course, just wondering if this is normal across the country?

Earliest bookable time is 7am but we can play from first light but we have to give priority to the greenkeepers although, to be fair, they usually let us get on with it.

Don't have tee bookings, just turn up possibly queue then off you go. Earliest you can go is when you can see the red and white post halfway up the fairway from the tee:)

7.36 booking at one, which must mean you are teeing off when pretty dark if a grey day at this time of year.

8am at the other clubs

According to our booking system sunrise this Saturday is 8.07. We have a booking already at 7.52 and 8.00, mmmmmmmm. You can actually book from 6.56 but that is clearly academic.

In effect, we are not restricted regarding booking tee slots by the green keepers / owner.

We move to a 2 tee start in order to enable the maximum number of player's to tee off in the 8 - 10 slot, which also impacts the green staff activity or previously they could start at 1 and still be on the back 9 hen people were non the front
This means that teeing off much before 8 gets restricted
Can't have it both ways

Saturday is comp. day so the BRS system comes into play with first tee-time being 7.30.

On Sundays there is no tee booking system for members.

i think you can book from 7am, but not much point at the moment as its still dark till 8am.

in summers the reason you can't book a time before X is to allow the GK to do cut greens and rake bunkers

Other than for club comps there is no tee booking at all at our place.

Visitors wishing to play at the weekend after 2pm are advised when it is best for them to turn up to maximise the likelihood of getting straight onto the tee - or only having to wait maybe one or two groups going on before them.

During the winter we do not have a computer booking system for Saturdays as all medals are optional. You just have to turn up at the course and the starter will give you a tee time. Currently 8am if you wish to start at the 1st and 7.45 if you wish to start at the 3rd (limited to 3 groups only).

7.30 in summer

In the summer the first time is about 6.52 although the first group normally go out a little before this if they are ready. My tee time is 7.08 which is 3rd out.

In the winter we keep our order but the first group go out at first light and then we would be 3rd out.

We don't have tee times, but play is prohibited before 8:00am (all year round).

It enables the greenstaff to do what they need to before we start, but without them disturbing the neighbours too early in the morning.

8am during the winter, but as Patrick said, it doesn't get light up here much before that. I once went out early doors at my last club and was on the second green when the automatic sprinklers came on and soaked me!
