Weekend away

Looking to take the Mrs away end of October and looking for a decent hotel for the weekend or Saturday. Normally go to Chester and get a cheap Travelodge but there wanting £80 a night at the moment, same with Premier Inn etc or we stay at one of the Macdonalds hotels but prices are a little high at the moment. Anyone know of any deals about? Keep looking on Groupon/Wowcher etc but nothing really takes my eye. Looking at anywhere within 90 mins of Bradford and either central somewhere or chilled spa type places. Not sure if I'd be able to get out for a knock so golf not as important.

half term week will be why prices up if you can put off to 9/10th nov youll get much better deal.

Get yer wallet out mate and take her to the Hilton in Manchester. Book the Exec upgrade for the free bar between 5 and 9 then head off to Gaucho for a bang tidy steak and a bottle of Argentinian Red. Follow this with a visit to the Sky Bar (priority entry for residents of the hotel) and a few cocktails.... Trust me, you won't regret it......

Sky bar (is that what its called now? it was cloud 23 when i last went) and i got smashed on Mojitos! great view of manchester from up there!!

Agree with pbrown its half term week. 90 mins from Bradford takes you to a lot of places. Do you need somewhere with a swimming pool spa etc?

Sky Bar in Leeds is great, will have a look into then sounds good.

I might regret it when she vomming from the sky bar after the free drinks for 4 hours!!!;-)

The Mrs would like all that yes, used the spa/pool when we've stayed at Hill Valley. Been looking at places in the Lakes/North West and the prices seem pretty high which must be because like you say half term week.
