Wedge Refinishing?

Hi all i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on companies that offer club refinishing and what price i can expect?

I bought an Oil Can vokey about a month ago but since soaking in Coke to remove the first signs of rust (and thus removing the remaining oil can coat) im not too fond of the raw look or the amount it is rusting.

I was wondering if anywhere offered a service that could coat, or dip the head, to give give it a black nickel effect for example?

My advice would be to sell or swap it matey, not worth the hassle and could change the effectiveness of the grooves.

sure I read on a previous thread that the oil can finish was designed to rust in order to help generate spin/ offer more control

I'd agree with Brendy. We occasionally have to get bolts etc refinished in work and any kind of dipping clogs the threads. Would be very similar with grooves- you can probably get a new one for what it'd cost anyway

The oil can finish on a Vokey is supposed to rust, there's not a lot you can do to stop it, apart from getting it chrome plated. I think you chose the wrong design if you like your clubs to look clean.

I've taken ur advice and its on eBay for £50 as we speak (not bad considering i paid £100 only 4 weeks ago).

Hopefully it will sell for that and i'll get a Black Nickel one to match my 60 degree!
