Are there different sensitivity levels ( talking about touchscreen tablets) for adverts and other areas of a website?

The current Adidas advert launches if I as much glance at it, but if I want to open a thread I sometimes end up tapping it a couple of times, quite hard before it will open.

Anyone else experience this or is it just me?

Its getting my back up too...
I appreciate that adverts are required but this one doesn't allow me to scroll over it without opening.
Seems to be TaylorMade/Adidas ads that are the main culprits.....
Incredibly annoying!
These kind of adverts reduce my usage of a particular site - I've reduced my viewing of the main GM site drastically as a result. And they reduce the likelihood that I will spend money with those brands too.....

Yes- there are different sensitivity levels.......

Or

Yes - it's just me?

You're not alone Rick.

I'm swiping no differently than I normally do but am constantly having to close a new tab or stop the video from playing. Not really experienced that with any of the other adverts. Sergio can be quite sensitive at times though.

A lot of the adverts are roll over ads, so if you so much as enter the area of the advert it opens,

I am sure the reason my computer runs slowly is because of all the adverts that have to open when I go to most websites.

This is similar to what I was experiencing with the Galvin Green advert, if I as much as glanced at the screen it would open, not sure what these adverts will accomplish as the hit rate stats will all be false!
