So here I am after midnight sat in hospital with sticky pads, tubes and what nots on & in my body with a suspected heart attack!! 40 years old and very much reflecting on my heavy drinking, smoking and good livin/bad diet lifestyle. Hopefully it was just a scare but right now I am hoping it's not to late to make some serious changes.

It happened up the driving range and I was absolutely striping them lol.

Club champs Sunday :)

Anyone else been through this and how has it changed yoU?

That would be why, The shock of hitting a decent ball on consecutive occasions.

Seriously, hope your'e on the mend soon

Best Wishes

Gibbo, I was going to crack some jokes at your expense but it's not really a laughing matter

Hope it's all ok and no long term damage has been done....

.... Now you have had the sympathy, any decent nurse pics worth posting?

Do what the medics tell you mate and get well soon. Lucky for you that golf is seen as perfect exercise for most ills.

Sorry to hear that Gibbo

Get better quick man

Fortunately the body has a habit of sending out warning signs when something isnt right.

Hopefully this was just one of these life changing warnings.

All you have to do is Cut out the fags, Cut down on the booze, eat less crap and play much more golf.

Keep us posted mate

Last November for me Steve, followed by another one a week later. Stop smoking and cut back on the drink, or at least drop the beer and go onto wine. For me it was lose 4st, half way there, but I've seen more fat on a chip than on you.

Listen to what your body is telling you or you won't make a grumpy old fart.

Sorry to hear this Steve, wish you all the best mate and Im sure its just a warning and you are able to change up a few things and be right as rain.....

Get well soon. Hope all is well and "just" a wake-up call to make changes before it becomes more than that. Take care.

All the best Steve, hopefully just a shot across the bows and a change of lifestyle will be required.

You never know, your golf might get better as a result ;-)

Take care.

Thanks all, had a restless night, still a few pains but it appears it wasn't a heart attack so a result there. A definite warning for me to make some simple changes and maybe chill out a bit more instead of being a stress head at home & work.

Docs laters to get off these demon cigs for good aswell

Gonna take a few days off work and do some serious evaluating
