Hi

One of the key areas I believe I need to get right on the golf course is tempo. I know when I have it, the swing is smooth and solid, everything feels easy.

I certainly know when I dont have it :(.

Would it be legal to have a short video of Ernie Els's swing on your phone to look at every now and again to get the tempo mojo going ?

Not sure how watching a video is going to help you on the golf course?

I tend to rush the swing. Whether it's a conscious thing or not, I don't know.

I actually got out last weekend to try one or two of the products on the range before the comp. Without wanting to sound like a sales pitch, (I'm only calling it as it happened, rather than as a 'pitch'!) but using the weighted club, really helped me to slow the swing down, not over-swing etc. Great thing is that you can hit balls with it. When I then picked up my own clubs, the difference was remarkable, in both ball striking, tempo, and distance.

Oh. I shot my best ever front 9. Sadly, I didn't get to finish the round due to slow play and other commitments!

As I said, this ain't no pitch, as I genuinely believe that I would have bought this product myself having tried it.

Shameless HH absolutely shameless... :D

Just kidding mate. I'll be getting some bits and pieces from you, as soon as you get those multi colored divining sticks in from Mr Bobit.

I have been going on about tour tempo for a few weeks. Check out the website www.tourtempo.com but basically its a series of beeps that co-ordinate to your swing speed based on a 3:1 ratio. Basically you are supposed to swing back 3 times slower than your downswing. Sounds more complicated than it is but its easy to have playing on the ipod at the range or out for a few holes and really gets you swinging in a smooth tempo (with practice)
