Going for 7 days in the summer with HID, 3 nights in one, 4 in the other.

I'm going to escape for at least one game of golf with hire clubs. I dont want it to be too far away from the city centres, as taxis, hiring clubs and the green fee will be a pretty penny. However, given one course to play, where would you recommend......

Hi I've heard there's a lovely 9 hole course overlooking lake maggiore near stresa, I've not played it, but met some chaps who were playing it some years ago before I got into golf

It's a little way from Verona

Thanks all.

I'll probably only play once, so want to know which is the "must-play" course in either of them, as will be hiring clubs also. We're also going to stay 3 night in one and 4 in the other, so before I book the hotel want to pick which course and make that city the 4 night stay.

You bad man it would take ages to get from Verona to Maggiore.😁 Although it is one of the most beautiful places I have been to in Italy.

Not sure of the time it takes from Verona to Monza but there is a course there that is hosting a major comp. it looks the danglies. I have had a drive from Saronno, Milan to Venice (past Verona) a couple of times and it is a good run down the autostarada.

Just had a quick look 1 hour and 40 mins each way 151 km each way. Would make it a long day.
