Has anyone bought a mobile phone and unlocked it and is it easy to do?

Should cost about a tenner and take ten minutes easy peasy. Hardest part will be finding someone to do it, try the local market.

Friend of my took one over his local Boot Sale, there were a couple of "stalls", that were willing to do it, cost him £7.00!

Bob, most independent phone shops offer an unlocking service, not expensive either.

i rang my provider told them i was hoping to go to oz for 3months holiday & needed phone unlocked to take oz sim .. they gave me the code . will depend how long is left on your contract tho , if it newish they wont do it for you ..

Search for unlock codes on ebay. I have done it this way a couple of times and had no problems. Cost me no more than a tenner.
