Unexpected suprises...

I had to pay a £50 deposit, then £277 in November and £263 yesterday for my fees for next season but as from May this year I can pay next years fees by DD and because we are paying a year in advance direct to the club we dont have to pay a fee (usualy 6% from Fairway Credit).

Dig deeper nd see if the course are struggling for members then try and get in on your terms.

I had to pay a years fees up front (£550) in full plus the joining fee (£500) at the start of year one..... :(

.....and then a years fees up front at the start of year two (another £550 odd) plus a monthly standing order to pay year three fees in advance ( 10 months at £55 - no handling charges or any other such carry on) ........ :(

......at the start of year 3 and every year after the fees are already paid in advance (less whatever increase applies to the subs) and I carry on the standing order to pay the following years fees in advance. :)

It was a proper pain in the tits for the first two years but i'm now in the position where I'm always a year ahead of the game and if I choose to leave can get back whatever amount i've paid in advance for next years subs and also play out the remainder of the season with no more monthly cost.

This is a good position for me to be in as it means that if I, god forbid, become unexpectedly unemployed for a long period of time then i can always fall back on a years prepaid golf or if i decide to change clubs then i get my prepaid fees back to fund the fees at the new club.

Simples. :D
