Pretty emotional day today. Great to see all the work UNICEF do to help and educate kids in this grief stricken country. #Haiti

That's it. I'm off to bed. Too many marshmallows for me tonight.

I think Rory's going to be a great ambassador for golf and apologies to GMac if he does similar stuff to Rory but doesn't advertise it.

It wasn't meant as a criticism to Gmac, it's just the way they appeared on my homepage one after the other.

I can play Thetford but will speak to Jan first before commiting both of us to the day as she's very capable of speaking for herself :) :)

Thats why i dont "get" twitter ok its great to hear rory is doing good ..but does anybody care gmac had too many anything ???

To me the opposite is true if we want to hear what charity so and so is supporting or being paid to support you can find out, Twitter is to find out what they actually do

This. It's great to get a bit of insight into the people behind the fame and most that I follow embrace it really well rather than just using it as a marketing tool.

IJP is a good example. Although he does use Twitter to pimp his clothing line, he posts alot of every day stuff about his love for english tea and marmite.

It's also great for banter between celeb friends (in this case, the golfers).

There's never anything earth shattering, but it's nice to get a glimpse into the normal lives of people you look up to and admire which you otherwise wouldn't get a chance to.

Each to their own. If it doesn't interest you, fair enough. I find it pretty interesting to read about the normal lives the "untouchable" sports men/women have. Back in the day, I'd have loved to have got an insight into what makes the likes of Jack, Arnold, Seve etc..tick.

It makes sports stars (particularly the golfers) more accessible to Joe public. Poults, G-Mac and Rors regularly hold "Q&A Sessions" where they'll answer tweets that people have sent them, be it about golf, their lives, whatever.

It's cool IMHO.

I guess the papers are always telling you who people are, or the newspapers opinion of what they get up to but this is straight from the horses mouth, you get some really good pics & its good for football gossip as well

Can see how that part would be interesting alright .. Like i say i wasnt having a go , i dont use it or understand it enough to say its right or wrong .. & like everything else i respect others opinions on all subjects whether i agree or not

good stuf mate , just a question if you tweeted a certain welsh footballer .. was it you ?? would you have goten an honest answer ha ha .. only kidding mate i get what your saying

Just signed up for Twitter and started following Rory, IJP and GMac. Then today had two messages saying I had people following me - slightly spooked and now feeling pressurised into tweeting something - must read the instructions on how to do that bit.

I joined it to follow a few golfers, journalists and footballers. I quickly unfollow people who only use it to peddle their corporate wares, or who bore me to death. I got a reply from Bubba Watson last week which pleased me no end.

I've had 2 replies.
One from Hank Haney who said he had never heard of the V-Easy :(
And one from Sam Torrance who said the fish supper in St. Andrews was lovely :D
