Turn dont sway

Ohhhh wrist rolling? You don't want to be doing that.

Maybe the wrong phrase but I mean turn/roll my right hand at impact/just after impact. I know I need to do something then I just havent figured it out yet. Am I way off the mark?

My general shot is left to right. It was a bad slice to begin with a few years now its become a "sliding fade" I kow there is something important at that stage I just havent felt it yet!

It's hard to 'apply' an online fix but rolling the wrists happens NATURALLY as you go through the ball, it's your body's way of stopping you snapping your hands off! :D

There should be no forced movements/thoughts of trying to roll the wrists, just presenting the clubface to the ball in a square(ish) position and allowing BOTH arms to straighten (release) in the 2-3ft after the ball is hit.

Am glad you think it will/ should happen naturally! I am looking forward to working on this aspect of my game.

When I am at the range next I will work on that 2-3 feet after impact with straight arms and see how I go.

I like just this little small snipets you get on here. Its too easy to fill your head with hundreds of psih and not actually work on any one aspect.....

At impact the clubshaft should be leaning slightly forwards (grip of club ahead of the ball). Then after impact the clubhead eventually catches up as the arms extend fully... then the rolling initiates itself taking the club round behind you.

Am I right in thinking that at address the hands should also be ahead of the clubhead/ball and returned to this position at impact?

Yep

Edit, ops, yep for an iron

Same with all clubs apart from driver, which should be ball a little more forwards and hands approx level with ball at address and impact (so the hands start a little more left at address and so does the clubhead eg: the clubshaft sticks straight out)

This was a great swing thought for the day, I has a really great range session and I so needed to hit the ball.

I am lost in a terminal case of the shanks now... cant stop doing them!

I was digging a bit. If digging is a real turm, scooping maybe, but only on the bad ones.
