Evening all.

I'm on the hunt for some new clubs, I've been looking for a while now. I've read lots of 'what club?' threads posted on here and read reviews of some of the clubs that have been suggested. I'm struggling with a commitment issue though I think. I'm reluctant to pull the trigger on new clubs without trying them first. Is it possible to go in to shops like AG to just try them? Without committing to buy there and then, and can you try the used clubs they offer?

Thanks

Yes you can try the clubs. They put some sticky paper over the face and sole. When I went to AG I went to a store with a driving range. They asked for my budget and any preferences and I was given 4 Clubs to try and if not happy with them I'm sure they would give me more. You are not obliged to buy. If there is no range they are usually nets and a launch monitor. Personally I prefer to see a real shot on the range.
Alternatively a pro shop at a club will do the same.

edit.. When I say 4 clubs I mean 4 different manufactures/models

Get your self to a shop with a range and ask to test. There is no obligation to buy and most places want your cash so will only be to helpful

You've done the rite thing by seeking to try before you buy, some people are complete 'magpies' and can't resist the urge to do silly things like buy clubs based on the advice of their mates, not that I'm one of them people of course ...
