I booked a holiday to TPC Sawgrass through Your Golf Travel. The original plan was for a 4 ball, 7 nights, 4 rounds and flights. After a little negotiation we settled on £1295pp. Due to unfortunate circumstances our 4 ball became a 2 ball, YGT were very helpful and this didn’t really affect the price. However, upon arriving at the Sawgrass Marriott we were told that our booking had been cancelled! Marriott put us up for the night until we could contact YGT and sort it out. As you can imagine I was pretty annoyed by this situation. Anyway I got hold of YGT and they sorted it out and arranged for the hotel to give us complimentary breakfast, which saved us about $50 a day!
As far as the golf was concerned, The Stadium Course was spectacular! It was in immaculate condition despite the horrendous weather they’d had over there. The Dye Valley course was going through maintenance and was covered in a layer of sand so it’d be unfair for me to rate the course. We also played The Sawgrass Country Club, which would’ve been the best course I ever played had we not played the Stadium Course the day before!
In all it was a great holiday, despite the weather and the mix up. I would still book with YGT again and I probably will for our trip to TPC Scottsdale next year.
