Post for Murph, and anyone else using Tour Edge. Just wondered how they are? The pro at my place sells them and says that they are really good kit. Just couldn't bring myself to buy into a club called "Exotics", or a driver called "Bazooka"....... unless it's marketed by someone like Ping/ Cobra/ Titleist/ Mizuno etc.

As an aside, never see them in the tested kit in GM either, any reason that they are not included in any of the new gear/ kit tests etc.?

As you can see, I have a 4 wood and a hybrid.

The hybrid replaced a Titleist 585H, which replaced a TM rescue.

It has quite a penetrating flight, and is my go to club when I need to hit 200 yards. It is a better club than my previous hybrids (for me). It is well made, sits very nicely behind the ball (squarely), very little offset, and I absolutely love it. I initially found the shaft a bit stiff, but have got used to it, and it now just feels solid.

The 4 wood is also very nice. Ditto for not much offset, and a square set up. My only gripe with it would be that I went for a more forgiving style, as I went from a Titleist 906 5w which wasn't the most forgiving club (although I did like it a lot). This means it launches a touch high. That said, it goes well, and I use it about 4 times a round off the tee, and some times off the fairway (although I tend to lay up with the hybrid if I can't reach, as it's more percentage play). I have the same stiff shaft in this as my hybrid, but it doesn't play as stiff.
Makes a nice noise too. Solid sounding thwack.

I like both clubs, and would buy exotics again, no worries. Well made stuff, decent shaft (would like to try one of these in my Nike driver), nice new decade multicompound grip (not tried these before, but next time I regrip they are going on every thing). One of the head covers is wearing a bit where the piping is getting trashed in the boot of my car.

Expensive though, and probably won't hold their value due to rarity in the UK meaning a limited number of buyers. On the other hand, I like playing stuff no one else has in their bag.

Give one a go, what have you got to lose?

Excellent equipment, and unlike many other premium priced clubs, use high quality 'real' shafts. They are known to be long hitting clubs, and depending on the model, come in either better player of average player flavours. Tour Edge customer services in the US will also respond quickly to emails. They were distributed here by Foremost Golf who appear not to have taken much of an interest.

I tried the driver at my fitting a couple of weeks ago and although I bought the Titleist, the Tour Edge came a decent 2nd. A good club that I reckon you wont go far wrong with.

Yep, my club pro is linked up with Foremost Golf. They are some sort of buying consortium to help club pro's get better leverage on buying rates for new kit. Apparently one of the biggest purchasing groups in the UK.

Wasn't specifically looking to buy, just wondering on peoples thoughts, and why they don't get in th etest lists with GM. I have seen a few creeping into peoples bags down at the club.

Yep my pro is with Foremost as are the guys at HID;s club and there is certainly some benefits in terms of buying power and I've got some reasonable bragains as a result. I have seen the Bazooka drivers and didn't think much of them certainly when you compare them to a "decent" players model lie a Titleist. The irons looked very GI and didn't interest me at all
