Tour de France 2019

Pinot has just abandoned, you think that's fixed also ?

You disappoint me, I thought you could troll better than that.

As Thibaut Pinot is a) clearly the best French climber when fit, b) the most likely Frenchman to be able to win the TdF given the finishing stages, c) very obviously injured & d) withdrawing rather than being expelled for a Mickey Mouse offence, why would that be the UCI potentially interfering with the result?

Of all the things I've seen, read or heard yours is the only comment about the UCI trying to fix the race I've came across.

Froome did it to Wiggins.

not on the final day of racing, nor did Froome attack Thomas last year etc. when its earlier in the race and they are still not sure of whos leading the team ultimately and the tours still in the balance then they will have some leeway, when as a team they have won the tour theyre not going to take any risks

Alaphilippe has just cracked so it wasn’t to be for him.

Great tour tho.

confirms he wasnt beaten by yesterdays abandonment which is great for Bernal and bad for French cycling. Hey ho
Totally agree, I know the French were getting excited at the prospect but he wasn’t going to be strong enough.

I know this stage is shortened, but they are doing pretty nearly 25mph up a climb that is steep as. No wonder a few are showing weakness.

They make it look ridiculously easy.

Want to go to watch the tour at Mount Ventoux.

One of the guys I play poker with is a massive cycling nut, somehow he managed to get a job for one of the teams last year helping out and this year has been driving one of the team cars! Been great to follow his postings on it from an "outsiders" perspective

Think Id get tired just watching Mouint Ventoux let alone trying to cycle it!

I was in the South of France, below Ventoux, and had thought about cycling up there, as I was on a cycling holiday. Took one look, and thought stuff that. It is mental.

Love a good mountain summit finish. One of sport's great dramas. The crowds are crackers and get so close, but for me that makes it fantastic. How many other sports can you get that close to the world's best? Plus all the names painted on the road etc. Can't beat a finish up either Mont Ventoux or l'Alpe d'Huez. The Col du Tourmalet is not far behind either.

I like a good time trial too. The flat stages dont interest me though.
