We're now the only English team in Europe now not losing. A superb rearguard action against a model of German efficiency if not a team that was overly adventurous. Shame that Zamora is injured and a worry ahead of next week but Van Nistlerooy looked a shadow of his former self and Hamburg didn't really create too much.

Having been a Fulham fan for all these years its way too early to start dreaming of a European final as there is bound to be a Fulhamish way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I was at Basle at home in the group stages and 80% certain of a ticket for the semi. I went to all the intertoto games a few years back when it seemed a fairytale to be playing any kind of European footie after years of Rochdale, Torquay, Gillingham etc
